Product Rave: NARS Blushes

I'm pretty sure everyone and their mothers have heard of the brand NARS and their award winning blushes (especially their famous blush Orgasm). Even with all the hype, I was always hesitant to purchase one for myself because of the steep price of $27USD. I wasn't sure if I really ever wanted to pay that much for a blush that I'm sure I can find a dollar dupe for.

Two weeks ago or so I decided it was time to try one, and I can now say that I have found my addiction. I purchased the shade Amour (below) which is a gorgeous peachy pink color and I have worn it everyday since I've purchased it.

I love NARS packaging. I think that its very classy, sophisticated and modern. Its also very sleek and smooth feeling. They have a wonderful variety of shades offered in both matte and shimmer. The product itself is a true winner. I love the formula of their blushes. They are so soft, smooth and insanely blendable. They have amazing pigmentation that delivers a very natural, healthy look. I just placed an order for another blush in the shade Dolce Vita which I think will be perfect for fall. I'll have pictures up as soon as it arrived.

All in all, if you can splurge on one thing, this is it.
Have you tried any NARS blushes? What shades do you own? Do you love them?

Review: Primed and Poreless Face Primer = 5 Stars!

I'm going to start off this post by saying if you haven't tried this product - you're really missing out! The Too Faced Primed and Poreless Skin Smoothing Face Primer is a permanent step in my foundation routine. I don't know where I'd be without it! I have so much to say about it so lets get started.

Let me go ahead and tell you that this product costs $30USD. For some that may be nothing for a primer, and for others it may be way too much. In my opinion, its way worth it. The look and feel it gives my skin is unbelievable. My skin isn't horrible, but I do have blackheads and enlarged pores. This product hides these so well, I don't even know how it does it! This product can even be worn alone to brighten, firm, hydrate, and detoxify your skin. Its can be worn under bronzers, foundation, powders, anything! Its packed with vitamins A and C, mulberry extract and retinol which gets skin looking flawless. This product applies smoothly, blends in easily, and leaves my skin feeling great. I wear this on a daily basis under my foundation, and I'm not changing that for a very long time! You can pick this up in Sephora, Ulta or on Birchbox.

Sephora, MAC, Birchbox Haul!

I recently took a trip to the mall after passing my permit test to congratulate myself and I bought a couple of items. I stopped at Sephora and MAC, and redeemed something from Birchbox with my saved up points. I'm in love with every product that I purchased. I redeemed a Stila eyeshadow in Espresso. It a mostly matte brown color with a slight glow (very little shimmer). I also picked up Greensmoke from MAC. Its a gorgeous green olive lustre mixed with both a golden and silvery shine.

Next I picked up a nail polish from Sephora - Caught With My Khakis Down. I love it, and think its a beautiful fall color. Its very unique, and I am going to be wearing it everyday.

The next product I bought is one that I have been craving for the longest time. Its a NARS blush. Up until now, I was a NARS blush virgin. I am so happy I now own one of these babies. Its in the shade Amour and its a peachy pink color. Its completely matte, which I love. I have found my new favorite blush.

I got the Too Faced Matte Eye Shadow palette, and I am so very excited about it. Each shadow is perfect for everyday wear, and each color works for fall. I don't own too many mattes, so this was the perfect opportunity to expand the collection. It also came with a primer potion sample, which is great for travel. I'll probably end up doing a couple looks and posting them on here, if you girls would like.

* I'll be posting swatches tomorrow!

My Miracle Worker!

I have a review/rave today about  a hair-care product. Its the Sexy Hair's Soy Renewal Argan Oil Styling Treatment. This product has made my hair 200% better since I've started using it. It costed me $20 at a local salon and it was well worth the price. Heres what it looks like:

I use this product in two ways. I put it in my damp hair before I blow-dry and straighten it which makes it super soft, silky and smooth (it reduces drying time - which is perfect for people with limited time!). I've never had it look and feel so healthy. I also use this by putting it in my hair after applying mouse. Its softens up the feel, loosens the curls and provides natural waves in my hair without the stiff feeling. This product hides the fact that my hair is so damaged (what a plus!), and makes my hair healthier in the long run. I've been using it for the past two or three months, and I feel that it has made a drastic difference. My hair has been growing faster, and feeling better ever since. This is going to remain one of my favorite for a long, LONG time.

My Top 8 Eye-Shadows of ALL Time!

It was hard to narrow it down, but I feel like I've picked the best of the best. I was going to add in a matte black but I decided that everyone knew what that looked like, and there are so many of them so I skipped it. Here they are:

I picked colors that I feel can be worn everyday, but can also be played up. I'm not going to waste any time so lets just get right into it.

The first color I picked is Too Faced Honeymoon. Its a green gold color that I love putting in the outer half of my lid. I love pairing it with a brown crease color. It really makes my brown eyes pop!

Collective Haul

Since I haven't been around for a while, I thought that it would be fitting to show you things that I've gotten in the past couple days (shush, I know its only two things).

First off, I recently purchased Benefit's new They're Real! Mascara ($22)
I've used it three times so far, and I don't know how I feel about it. Its not going to become one of my faves, and I don't think it was worth the price... I think it does a great job at defining each lash, but it doesn't volumize or length. I think the the applicator is creative and unique, and helps you reach each lash. I have to find another mascara to pair this up with.

Remington's products were on sale this week at Target, so I picked up their T-Studio Pearl Ceramic Curling Wand (was $39, payed $29)
I did my hair with this wand last night for my first day of school (which was today!), and I loved the way it came out. I got soft beachy waves. The tool will take me some getting used to, however, because it is my first clamp-free curler.
